Infodoc Services Ltd. is one of the few companies in the UK specialising in the production of systematic vocabularies in accordance with ISO standards.
The company works mainly for standards organizations, government departments, QUANGOs, professional institutions, local authorities and academic bodies.
It has expertise in the following areas:

· Compilation of glossaries and vocabularies
· Terminology research
· Harmonization of language in business environments
· Classification, especially document classification schemes
· Indexing, including book indexing
· Information retrieval for libraries and other information systems
The company has a particular interest in the construction industry working with all the professions.
The company was formed in 1978. Before that the project team developed a thesaurus for the construction industry. This project, which began in 1968, was based at two London Polytechnics and was financially assisted by organisations representing all interests within the construction industry. This led ultimately to the production of BS 6100, described under British standards.
